Our Story

Duplex Tea first opened in Tempe in 2020. In 2022, we became its owners and began making the shop our own. Our Chinese name, 双拼记 (Shuang Pin Ji), reflects the two of us—one from northern China and one from southern China—bringing different backgrounds, tastes, and ideas together under one roof.

We serve handcrafted matcha, coffee, tea, and boba with flavors that are different from what you’ll find elsewhere. Our goal is simple: every drink should be balanced, delicious, and memorable. From familiar favorites to our own creative combinations, everything is made to order with care.
